The BRITA Aluna 2.4L Water Filter Jug is designed with an easy pour flip top lid. The ergonomic design allows single handed filling and use with a contoured handle. A built-in Electronic Indicator helps monitor filter use and replacement.

This Aluna Water Filter Jug includes a BRITA MAXTRA PRO Filter, engineered with unique MicroFlow Technology that provides a safe and natural way of filtering drinking water from the tap. The filters are made of activated carbon from coconut shells with ion exchange pearls that reduce taste and odour altering substances like chlorine.

For best results, replace your BRITA filter once a month or every 150 litres of use.

How it works

5 easy steps to fresh tasting, filtered water

Fill some cool water into a jug or bowl. Soak the BRITA MAXTRA cartridge in the water and shake gently to remove any air bubbles.

Step 2

Insert the cartridge into the BRITA jug's funnel

Step 3

Run a litre of water through the filter two times. We recommend discarding the water by watering your plants

Step 4

Your BRITA MAXTRA+ cartridge is ready to use. Simply fill with water and pop it in the fridge or place on your counter top.

Step 5

Don't forget to reset your filter timer or smart light so you know when it's time to change your filter again!

For over 50 years, BRITA is world famous for water filter jugs and water optimisation. Australian household water from the tap is compliant and safe, but may contain chlorine, heavy metals and other sediments which can affect water taste, smell and clarity.

BRITA water filters are designed to:

• Reduce free and bound chlorine content if present.

• Reducing carbonate hardness and act as a “water softener” where hard water is present.

• Help filter out metals such as lead and copper which may be found from dirty or damaged mains.

All BRITA jugs are dishwasher-safe up to 50 degrees except for the lid and the filter change indicator. You must wash the lid carefully by hand.

This excludes the BRITA cask where all its components must be washed by hand.

Yes, all BRITA filter cartridges are safe, and are produced with high quality and safety standards. Each filter is made of food grade materials, and are harmless if accidentally consumed.

Store your BRITA jug with filtered water in a cool, dry place, like the fridge. Avoid exposing the BRITA jug to direct sunlight. BRITA filtered water must be ideally consumed within one to two days.

BRITA recommends replacing MAXTRA+ filters every 4 weeks, or every 150 litres of use for best results.
